Thanks for the inspiring post during PiBoIdMo. And now, in honor of Picture Book Month, the PBs I read for the dare in November (and a few others too good not to mention)

Thanksgiving theme: The First Thanksgiving Day, Cranberry Thanksgiving
One of your favorite books: Mirandy and Brother Wind, The Winter Cat, Goodnight Moon, Creaky Old House
Military theme: Lisette’s Angel, Soldier and Tsar in the Forest
Female author: I Will Rejoice, Bub, or The Very Best Thing, Baby Loves You So Much

    bonus themes:

Vikings: Elfwyn’s Saga, Where the Wild Things Are (?)
Funny book: The Christmas Crocodile, Ruby Mae Has Something to Say, Series of Unfortunate Events #13 The End
Black: The Monster in the Shadows, Code Name Verity, Jabberwocky
Ecological theme: Miss Rumphius, A Clearing in the Forest, An Egg is Quiet

Thanks for another challenging list. It has helped me to progress in my 300 Picture Book Challenge goal (From Shar Ann More).

    See you in December!

Well, I think I forgot some of the books I read. Maybe next time I won’t wait til I read all 8 or so to post.

    1. Thanksgiving – My library’s page isn’t working so I can’t check the title, but it’s a Curious George board book about Thanksgiving.
    2. Fave – My Grandpa (sad but true for me except with my grandma)
    3. Veterans/Military – From Norvelt to Nowhere by Jack Gantos
    4. Female author – Brave Girl by Michelle Markel, illus by Melissa Sweet

    1. Unruly characters – okay, if Chupacabra doesn’t fit for #4, then put it here because Chupacabras are totally unruly.
    2. Funny – Jedi Academy by Jeffrey Brown
    3. Black character – A Splash of Red by Jen Bryant
    4. Ecological – Chupcabra by Roland Smith (I know, it doesn’t sound very ecological, but a big theme is taking care of animals and saving animals from poaching and taxidermy. I think that is ecological. Actually, I don’t know.)
